Maroon Day

MVHS will hold a Financial Aid Night on Tuesday, October 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Media Center. A representative from the USI Financial Aid office will be the guest speaker.

Picture retakes will be September 29.

Concessions will be sold during the powder puff game on Friday. Everything will be $1.00.

Want to see some amazing and intricately carved pumpkins? Want to see awesome artwork from all periods of history? Join Mrs. Glaser on a field trip to Louisville, KY on Saturday October 15. We will visit the Speed Museum of Art and the Louisville Jack-O- Lantern Spectacular to see over 5,000 carved pumpkins. Cost of the trip is $20 for admission and you will need to spending money for lunch and dinner. Admission money and signed permission slips are due to Mrs. Glaser in F104 by Friday September 30.

The Awards America representative will be in the cafeteria commons on Wednesday, September 28 from 11:30-1:00 to assist students with the purchase of a letter jacket. Parents are welcome to come and participate in the purchase process. Please be sure to bring items you wish to have sewn on such as varsity letters and patches.

Yearbooks can be ordered online at  using school order number 17198, or by check made payable to Mt. Vernon Senior High School, Attention Yearbook. The cost is $60.  Senior ads are due by April 10.

The Youth First "Most of Us" campaign is a research-based campaign to reduce teen alcohol and substance abuse among high school students by correcting misperceptions and promoting positive social norms.
