Gray Day

Angelus Auditions for the 2015-16 academic year are quickly approaching. Auditions are open to all MVHS women. Workshops will be held tomorrow and Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in H117. Auditions will be held May 12 and May 13 at 6:30 p.m. in H117.

SENIORS: Senior trip permissions slips are due ASAP.

There will be an FCA meeting tomorrow at 7:30 in room C108.

FCA is sponsoring National Day of Prayer. It will be held at the football field flagpole on Thursday at 7:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

The Vocal Music Department will present its Senior Honors Concert this evening at 7:30 p.m. in the PAC. Admission is free. Vocal music students and Cul are to report at 6:30.

The Short Reach Short Riders Trike Race will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Riders should report by 9:45 a.m.

Anyone interested in joining the MVHS Color Guard, tryouts continue tomorrow from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the high school band room. See Mr. Jones f you have questions.

There will be a cheer parent meeting at 5:00 p.m. tonight in room J100.

Track team members who are no longer participating in meets should turn in their uniforms to Coach Brenton.

Open field for girls soccer is canceled for today.

The Youth First "Most of Us" campaign is a research-based campaign to reduce teen alcohol and substance abuse among high school students by correcting misperceptions and promoting positive social norms.

Snow Day Make-Up Plan

Starting Monday, March 30, all schools will begin their day at 7:55 am. Bus routes in the morning will run 10 minutes earlier than normal.

The end of the school day will be lengthened by 10 minutes. All elementary schools will be dismissed at 2:55 pm, the junior high will be dismissed at 3:05 pm, and the high school will be dismissed at 3:15 P.M. (The other ten minutes are adjustments made throughout the school day to equal 30 minutes total.)

This change will continue throughout the rest of this school year. By making this minor adjustment, the last day of school for all students will be Friday, May 22. The last day for staff members will be Tuesday, May 26.

Graduation date has NOT changed and is planned for Friday night at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 22. By making this adjustment, NO STUDENT will have to make up days after Memorial Day.
