Gray Day

The Tri Kappa Medical scholarship is available in the counseling office. The application deadline is February 19.

There will be a fine arts academic team meeting on Tuesday, February 3 in C131 from 3:05 – 3:25

Seniors: A class list is posted in the guidance office. Please stop in and check the spelling of your name to make sure it will be spelled correctly on your diploma. Only legal names will be used, no nicknames. The last date to check is Wednesday, February 4.

Local scholarship applications are now available in the counseling office. The application deadline is April 1.

The English academic team will meet Monday after school in the media center.

The Winter homecoming pep assembly will be next Friday, February 6. If you have ideas for activities or are interested in being the MC please see Ms. Edwards as soon as possible.

The Winter homecoming dance will be held next Friday, February 6 immediately after the basketball game until 11:00 p.m. Advanced tickets are $3. Tickets at the door will be $5. See Ms. Edwards or Sydney Irick for advanced tickets.

The all school talent show applications are available in the main office. Forms and audition recordings must be returned by 8:05 a.m. on February 13. See Mr. Taylor if you have questions.

The outdoor sports club is selling t-shirts in memory of Ben Dickhaut. The shirts will be hunter green with a white-tail deer design on the front and will sell for $20. You may order during lunch, before school with Ms. Edwards or pick up an order envelope in the main office. The last day to order will be February 6.

Ping Pong tables will be available during lunch on Gray day Thursday or Friday of each week. As long as equipment is respected and good sportsmanship is practiced this activity will continue.

The Blubaum Scholarship application is now available in the Counseling Office. This is a $4000 scholarship awarded to a MVHS senior. The application deadline is March 9th.

Picture retake day is Thursday. You must return your original picture packet to have your picture taken again.

Any senior not registered to vote who wishes to vote in the November 4 election should see Mr. Alcorn before the end of the day on Friday.

Seniors: Vote for class flowers, ribbon, motto and graduation announcements on Wednesday, October 8th in the school store.

A representative from All Star Driving will be here tomorrow to sign students up for drive times. Anyone needing drives or make-up drives from the on-line class may sign up in Room C122 (Mr. Alcorn’s room) at 3:15.

The Youth First "Most of Us" campaign is a research-based campaign to reduce teen alcohol and substance abuse among high school students by correcting misperceptions and promoting positive social norms.
