Seniors: The Posey County Community & Lilly Scholarships are now available online @ communityfoundationalliance.org/posey

MVHS will be hosting the ACT on Saturday, Februrary 7, 2015. Registration deadline is January 9th.

Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine will hold a Boiler Vet Camp June 21-27, 2015 for students entering grades 10, 11 or 12 in fall 2015. For further information please visit: www.vet.purdue.edu/boilervetcamp The application deadline is February 2, 2015.

The deadline to apply to tech school for the 2015-16 school year is January 15th. Apply at www.sictc.com .

Auditions for the spring musical “The Sound of Music” will be held January 5-8. Vocal auditions can be scheduled by signing up on the choir hallway bulletin board.

Hoosier Girls and Boys State is an opportunity for juniors to learn and live the Indiana Political System. If you are interested in a week long experience during Summer 2015 please pickup information in the counseling office or check it out on Haiku.

The Tri Kappa Ribeyre and Tri Kappa Medical local scholarships are available in the counseling office. The Ribeyre application is due January 22. The medical application is due February 19.

There will be a fan bus to the basketball game tomorrow at Memorial. The cost is $7 and will include your game ticket. Please sign up in the Athletic Office. For those thinking ahead, there will be a fan bus going to the game on January 3rd at Washington. Please sign up in the Athletic Office.

Yearbook

It's time to purchase your 2015 yearbooks. The early bird special week is September 29-October 3rd. This week only you can purchase your yearbook for $50. After that the price goes up in $5 increments. You can purchase online at yearbookordercenter.com and use school number 17198 or bring a check made payable to MVHS to Mrs. Thomas in A214. Yearbook order forms were sent through the mail, or you can pick one up in the office.

We have added a new package for your convenience. You can choose to have your yearbook mailed to your home for a small fee. Click here for a flyer with additional information or see the online order centerorder center for details.

Picture retake day is Thursday. You must return your original picture packet to have your picture taken again.

Any senior not registered to vote who wishes to vote in the November 4 election should see Mr. Alcorn before the end of the day on Friday.

Seniors: Vote for class flowers, ribbon, motto and graduation announcements on Wednesday, October 8th in the school store.

A representative from All Star Driving will be here tomorrow to sign students up for drive times. Anyone needing drives or make-up drives from the on-line class may sign up in Room C122 (Mr. Alcorn’s room) at 3:15.

The Youth First "Most of Us" campaign is a research-based campaign to reduce teen alcohol and substance abuse among high school students by correcting misperceptions and promoting positive social norms.
