The Booster Club is selling class color t-shirts now through next Tuesday, October 7. The cost is $10 and order envelopes are available in the main office. Completed envelopes along with payment are to be placed in Ms. Edwards’ mailbox.

Challenge Leadership forms must be returned by today at 3:15 p.m. Any forms returned after that time will only be considered as alternates.

THESPIANS: Those interested in attending the Indiana State Thespian Association Regional on Saturday, October 11 need to sign up with Mrs. Young in C131.

Mt. Vernon will be hosting the SAT on Saturday, November 8. The registration deadline is October 9.

The PSAT will be offered to sophomores at MVHS on Wednesday, October 15. This is important for college admission and taking dual credit classes as a junior and senior. There is no charge to sophomores for the test. The PSAT is also available to juniors for a cost of $14. For juniors, this test is the National Merit Scholarship test. Please sign up in the counseling office.

It’s time to purchase your 2015 yearbook. Next week you can purchase your yearbook for $50. After this week the price will increase in $5 increments. You can purchase online, or pick up an order forms in the main office.

If you signed up for Spanish Club you must pay the $15 dues by the first meeting on Wednesday, October 8. If dues are not paid you will no longer be in the club. If you want to run for office, pick up a petition form in the main office and turn it in no later than Monday, October 6. If you have questions see Mrs. Basham in A203.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in high school bowling tomorrow at 3:45 p.m. at Posey Lanes.

Picture retake day is Thursday. You must return your original picture packet to have your picture taken again.

Any senior not registered to vote who wishes to vote in the November 4 election should see Mr. Alcorn before the end of the day on Friday.

Seniors: Vote for class flowers, ribbon, motto and graduation announcements on Wednesday, October 8th in the school store.

Youth First

The Youth First "Most of Us" campaign is a research-based campaign to reduce teen alcohol and substance abuse among high school students by correcting misperceptions and promoting positive social norms.
