Gray Day

Freshman Officer Applications may be picked up in Mrs. Delancy's room - A218. All applications are due by Friday, August 23 at 3:30 pm. If you have questions please see Mrs. Delancy, Mrs. Sharber, or a student council officer.

A representative from Wabash College will be in the Media Center on Monday, August 26, during reading period. You can sign up in the Counseling office to attend.

A dance will be held Friday after the football game against Heritage Hills. The dance will be in the cafeteria until 11:00 pm. Admission is $2 or 5 canned goods.

Picture Day is Thursday. If you did not receive a packet for ordering pictures from your English teacher please see them to get one.

A representative from Roadstar Driving will be at MVHS on September 6, September 4, and September 11 to register students for the upcoming Driver Education classes.

Student parking permits are $10 and are now available in the school store. Permits should be purchased by Friday, August 30. Reminder: Students are only allowed to park in the football or tennis parking lots.

The application deadline for the 2020 Lilly Endowment Scholarship is September 6. Any student who has at least a 3.5 grade point average, a 1220 SAT, or a 25 ACT is eligible to apply. The online application can be accessed at https://www.communityfoundationalliance.org/scholarships/lilly-endowment-community-scholarship-posey/.

Do you like gift cards? Do you want a pair of AirPods? Bring in 10 cans to your class sponsor and get your name placed into the drawing for a $10 restaurant gift card, a $25 Amazon Gift card, or for the set of AirPods. For every 10 cans a student brings to donate, their name will go into the drawing to win one of the prizes. Students must be in attendance at the Sunrise School Spirit Pep Assembly on August 30 to win.

2019 Children’s Theatre will present “The Commedia Voyages of Sinad”. Auditions will be on Wednesday from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Auditions will be held in the MVHS choir room, H117. Performances will be during the first week of October. Rehearsals will be held after school based on cast schedules.

MVHS cheerleaders will host a cheer clinic for students in grades K – 8 on Friday, August 23, in the main gym. Registration will be from 4:00 – 4:45 p.m. The clinic will begin at 5:00 p.m. Pre-registration fee is $25. Registration fee the day of the clinic is $30.

There will be a meeting in the main gymnasium during reading period on Thursday for any boy interested in playing basketball this season.
